Accendra Health in Plainview, NY is seeking a Delivery Technician to safely deliver, set up, and pick up durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes. You will educate patients on equipment use and provide high-quality customer service.

This role involves an on-call rotation, a stable schedule, and occasional truck ownership based on route. Requires a high school diploma, 21+ years, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs in daily deliveries and setups.
• Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes.
• Provide clear, compassionate instruction on equipment use to patients.
• Offer a high level of customer service and support to patients relying on equipment for life-sustaining needs.
• Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle.
• Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed.
