Job summary

Carter Lumber is looking for a dedicated Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers and ensure safe, on-time deliveries with a focus on friendly service. You will be part of a growing, family-owned company that values reliability and customer satisfaction.

In this role you may also contribute in the Yard during slower delivery periods to help meet weekly hours goals while maintaining high safety standards and professional conduct with customers.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care.
• A valid chauffeur, class C or class D license depending on state requirements.
• Ability to be a team player and provide friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle.
• If deliveries slow down, assist in the Yard to help meet weekly hours goals.

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
