Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a reliable delivery associate to transport parts to stores and distribution centers in a safe, efficient manner. You will operate company vehicles, sign for stock transfers, and maintain route manifests while upholding a professional customer-facing image.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parts and/or products to O’Reilly stores and DC in a safe and efficient manner.
• Drive company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or distribution center; must have valid state driver’s license.
• Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on route; deliver to stores as assigned.
• Maintain daily city route manifest for deliveries.
• Keep fleet/fuel card, vehicle and keys secure; follow accident reporting guidelines.
• Verify invoices and have stores sign route manifests; adhere to set schedule and report delays.
• Present professional image; communicate issues to store management.
• Clock in/out per policy.
• Check fluid levels and log mileage prior to operation; log daily.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs; ensure fuel tank is full and vehicle secured daily.
• Drive safely and defensively.

Essential Job Functions

• Deliver parts and/or products to O’Reilly stores and DC in a safe and efficient manner.
• Drive company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or distribution center. Must have legal required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on set route, deliver to appropriate store.
• Maintain daily city route manifest for deliveries.
• Responsible for keeping fleet/fuel card, vehicle and keys secure. Must be familiar with accident report guidelines.
• Ensure designated team member at each store verifies all invoices and signs the route manifest. Deliveries must be made according to set schedule and any delays reported to city delivery supervisor and/or stores remaining on route.
• Project professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations. Communicate any problems or special needs from stores to store management.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Check fluid levels, i.e., oil, radiator, transmission, etc., and log mileage prior to operating vehicle each day.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to store manager. Ensure fuel tank is filled, lock and secure vehicle at end of day’s business.
• Drive safely and defensively.

• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
