Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles and deliver parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently. This role also handles COD payments and customer returns while supporting store operations and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to communicate clearly; bilingual skills (Spanish) are highly valued and encouraged.

Qualifications

• Able to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the company’s 14/18‑point system.
• Possession of a legally required state driver’s license.
• Meeting company driving eligibility requirements.
• Familiarity with automotive parts (desired).
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers.
• Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily inspections prior to operating.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times.
• Pick up customer returns—new, warranty, cores—and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate issues or special customer needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled, lock, and secure the vehicle at the end of the day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Other duties include customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, errands, handling core returns, checking in and placing stock orders, and occasionally assisting customers, serving as a cashier, or helping with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
