Job summary

ABC Supply, America’s largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, seeks a Delivery Services Manager to schedule deliveries, coordinate fleet maintenance, and keep customers informed of delivery status.

You will ensure safety and compliance, hire and manage drivers and material handlers, and optimize routes. This role demands strong communication, leadership, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously.
• Previous dispatch experience is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and routing product deliveries.
• Ensuring trucks are not overloaded and loads fit weight limits.
• Assessing job site delivery requirements and assigning vehicles.
• Resolving vehicle safety issues by routing to service facilities.
• Keeping customers informed of delivery status.
• Ensuring OSHA and federal road procedures are followed.
• Participating in the hiring and performance management of drivers and material handlers.
• Coordinating fleet maintenance and repairs.
• Scheduling equipment training and certs for drivers.
• Keeping CDL licenses current and updating as needed.
