Job summary

ABC Supply, America's largest wholesale distributor of exterior and interior building products, is seeking a Delivery Services Manager in Nashville to schedule and route deliveries, coordinate fleet maintenance, and keep customers updated on delivery statuses.

You will lead drivers and material handlers, ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and federal road procedures, and contribute to hiring and performance management, while leveraging MS Office for data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and route product deliveries.
• Ensure trucks are not overloaded and loads within weight limits.
• Assess site delivery requirements and assign vehicles.
• Resolve vehicle safety issues by routing to service facilities.
• Keep customers informed of delivery status.
• Ensure OSHA and federal road procedures are followed.
• Participate in hiring drivers and material handlers, and manage performance.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance and ensure repairs are completed.
• Schedule equipment training and ensure certifications.
• Maintain CDL licenses current and inform drivers of renewals.

Specific duties may include:

• Scheduling and routing product deliveries
• Making sure trucks are not overloaded and that all loads fall within standard weight limits for each vehicle
• Assessing job site delivery requirements and assigning appropriate delivery vehicles
• Resolving all vehicle safety issues by routing vehicles to the appropriate service facilities for needed repairs
• Keeping customers informed of delivery status
• Ensuring that all OSHA and federal road procedures are followed
• Participating in the hiring of drivers and material handlers, as well as their performance management
• Coordinating fleet maintenance and ensuring all repairs are completed properly
• Scheduling new equipment training for drivers and ensuring they are fully certified to operate the equipment
• Ensuring that all drivers' CDL licenses are current and informing drivers when their licenses or medical cards need to be updated

Specific qualifications include:
