Qualifications

• Must follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and state driving laws.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and transport laws.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the vehicle for defects and complete a daily inspection report.
• Keep the vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; report needed repairs.
• Load or unload material; verify quantities and correct items are loaded.
• Ensure delivery documents are completed and signed by customers.
• Pickup material returns and verify condition and quantities.
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Attend to driver training for entry level staff; provide mentorship.
• May perform other branch duties such as counter sales or stocking.
