Kegel's Produce in Lancaster, PA is seeking a dependable Non-CDL Delivery Route Driver to service a 150-mile radius from Lancaster County. You will ensure timely, accurate delivery of fresh produce and maintain customer relationships.

Requirements include at least 1 year driving a 26 ft box truck, a valid Class C license, clean driving record, ability to pass background and DOT checks, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class C driver's license.
• Minimum 1 year delivery experience with a 26 ft box truck.
• Clean driving record (minor infractions allowed).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Strong communication skills to build customer rapport.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the refrigerated box truck before departure and refuel as needed.
• Deliver to customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Unload manually with a handcart and rotate stock in the facility.
• Check orders against invoices for accuracy.
• Communicate discrepancies to customer service and sales.
• Maintain contact with customers and transportation team about deliveries.
• Complete post-trip inspection and clean the truck.
• Submit paperwork and keys at day end.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Transportation Manager.

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Non‑CDL Delivery Route Driver to join our team. Delivering in a 150‑mile radius from Lancaster County, drivers are responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of fresh produce to customers along an established route. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, maintain delivery windows, and ensure compliance with food safety and transportation standards. A minimum of 1 year delivery experience operating a '26 foot box truck is required for this position. Responsibilities

• Inspects refrigerated box truck before departing the facility. Maintains and refuels the truck as necessary
• Delivers product to customers in a friendly, courteous and respectful manner
• Manually unloads the truck, putting product on handcart and taking it into the facility, where driver checks and rotates stock.
• Checks order against invoice to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Communicates any discrepancies to customer service and the sales team
• Continually in contact with customers and the customer service department regarding the status of deliveries. Frequently in contact with the transportation team
• Performs post trip inspection and cleans out the truck
• Turns in all paperwork and truck keys at the end of the day
• All other related duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager

Environmental Factors

• Winter Driving with hazardous conditions including but not limited to prolonged exposure to inclement weather conditions such as snow, sleet, freezing rain and ice and temperatures at and below freezing
• Summer Driving with physically demanding conditions including but not limited to loss of fluids, fatigue and other heat‑related conditions along with hazardous driving conditions in rain
• Non‑slip Steel Toe shoes are required for delivering product in all environmental conditions

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
• Must be able to lift over head
• Must be able to climb in and out of truck
• Must be able to maneuver a loaded hand cart into and through building, including down stairs when needed
• Must be able to bend, reach, push and pull 50 lb. cases for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in varying weather conditions

Special Working Conditions

• Must be able to work hours in excess of company's regular workweek, including weekends and holidays as needed
