Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Delivery Representative to safely deliver propane to residential and commercial customers while upholding top safety and service standards.

You will operate a propane delivery truck, fill tanks, and assist customers with professionalism. The role requires a valid Class A/B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, a clean driving record, and the ability to work 8–12 hour shifts, outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane delivery truck on assigned routes.

• Lift up to 70 lbs and work 8–12 hour shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

As a local Delivery Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering propane to our customers while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Safely operate a propane delivery truck along provided delivery routes
• Filling residential and/or commercial bulk tanks with propane
• Delivering propane cylinders to commercial/industrial customers
• Perform all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations in addition to all AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
• Consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment
• Depending on fluctuating needs, work 8 to 12-hour shifts

Requirements

• All Delivery Representatives should have a valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
• Acceptable driving record
• Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test and background check
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs

The pay for this position is $29.00 plus an additional $4.00 per hour premium for working as a Seasonal Associate. This brings the hourly wage to $33.00 per hour.

The pay for this position ranges from $33.00 to $33.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
