Job summary

Matthews Memorialization is seeking a Part-Time Delivery Professional in the Minneapolis/Roseville area to transport new caskets to funeral homes using company box trucks and vans.

The position starts at 7am, Wednesday to Friday with on-call Saturdays, and delivers up to 29 hours weekly. Requires a valid driver's license and ability to pass a DOT/MVR check, with paid hourly compensation at $21/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have current driver’s license (CDL is NOT required).
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical and MVR Check.
• Maintain a safe driving record, demonstrating responsible and cautious driving behavior.

• Contribute to our warehouse operations as required, assisting in tasks such as prepping, loading and unloading caskets, inventory management, and maintaining an organized workspace.

We believe that our Delivery Professionals are the heart and soul of our business, serving as the primary ambassadors to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Part - Time Delivery Professional to join our team at our Minneapolis, MN (Roseville Area) Service Center.

Matthews International is a world wide leader in casket manufacturing, providing the highest quality wood, metal and cremation caskets and other products to our funeral home customers. This position will be responsible for the delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.

Pay Rate: $21 - hourly.

Work Schedule: Wednesday - Friday, On-Call Saturdays so must be available on call when needed.

Work Shift: First Shift starting at 7am til finish, Our Delivery Professionals are home every early afternoon.

Weekly Hours: Our Delivery Professionals can expect to work up to 29 hours per week.

Additional Qualifications / Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Previous driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
• Must have current driver’s license.
