Job summary

Matthews International is seeking a Part-Time Delivery Professional at our Minneapolis, MN (Eagan Area) Service Center to deliver new caskets to funeral homes and assist with warehouse tasks. You will be a key customer-facing ambassador, ensuring timely, careful deliveries and friendly service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license (CDL not required) and the ability to pass a DOT physical and MVR check.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery driver experience preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have current driver’s license (CDL not required).
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical and MVR Check.
• Maintain a safe driving record with responsible driving behavior.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.
• Support warehouse operations: prep, loading/unloading, inventory, and workspace organization.
• Service customers with a friendly and welcoming approach.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

We believe that our Delivery Professionals are the heart and soul of our business, serving as the primary ambassadors to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Part - Time Delivery Professional to join our team at our Minneapolis, MN (Eagan Area) Service Center.

Matthews International is a world wide leader in casket manufacturing, providing the highest quality wood, metal and cremation caskets and other products to our funeral home customers. This position will be responsible for the delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.

Pay Rate: $21 - hourly.
Work Schedule: Wednesday - Friday, On-Call Saturdays so must be available on call when needed.
Work Shift: First Shift starting at 7am til finish, Our Delivery Professionals are home every early afternoon.
Weekly Hours: Our Delivery Professionals can expect to work up to 29 hours per week.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans.
• Contribute to our warehouse operations as required, assisting in tasks such as prepping, loading and unloading caskets, inventory management, and maintaining an organized workspace.
• Service our customers with a friendly and welcoming smile.
• Additional duties as assigned.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous delivery driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Must have current driver’s license (CDL is NOT required).
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical and MVR Check.
• Maintain a safe driving record, demonstrating responsible and cautious driving behavior.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Previous driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
• Must have current driver’s license.
