Job summary

Matthews Memorialization is seeking a FULL-TIME Delivery Professional at our Kearny, NJ Service Center. You will deliver new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans, with a Monday–Friday workweek and first shift hours.

Starting pay is $22 per hour, offering a structured benefits package and opportunities for professional growth. The role includes driving, loading/unloading, vehicle prep, daily logs, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness.

Qualifications

Position Summary

We believe that our Delivery Professionals are the heart and soul of our business, serving as the primary ambassadors to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable FULL-TIME Delivery Professional to join our team at our Kearny, NJ Service Center. Matthews International is a world wide leader in casket manufacturing, providing the highest quality wood, metal and cremation caskets and other products to our funeral home customers. This position will be responsible for the delivery of new caskets to funeral homes in the surrounding area using company box trucks and vans. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (weekend availability on occasion). Shift Hours: First Shift schedule. Our driver are home early afternoons. Starting Pay: $22 per hour.

Qualifications / Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Previous driver experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
