Job summary

Pella Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Driver Helper to assist the Delivery Driver with loading and unloading windows and doors, supporting customer interactions, and ensuring timely, damage-free deliveries. You will work in a two-person team, follow safety protocols, and help verify paperwork along the route.

Prior delivery or warehouse experience is a plus but not required. Candidates must be able to lift 75–100 lbs and work in varying weather conditions while maintaining reliability and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs repeatedly.
• Must work in a two-person delivery team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driver in loading and unloading trucks by hand, ensuring products are secure and protected from damage
• Support Driver in delivering products according to predetermined routes and schedules
• Help verify delivery paperwork, confirm product accuracy, and report discrepancies as needed
• Help inspect delivery vehicle before departure and report any visible issues to the Driver or Supervisor
• Maintain a clean and organized truck throughout the route
• Use appropriate lifting techniques and assist in maneuvering large/heavy items safely
• Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately
