Job summary

Arnoff is seeking a Driver's Helper in North Syracuse, NY to support professional drivers with safe, efficient deliveries. You will assist with loading and unloading, help secure cargo, and communicate with drivers to keep routes on schedule.

This role requires physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekends during peak season, and reliable transportation to work.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely, typically up to 75 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle safety and cargo handling procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with drivers and customers.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends during our peak season.
• Reliable means to get to and from work REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Help secure cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Support the driver with navigation and route planning to optimize delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with the driver and customers to ensure smooth delivery processes.
• Maintain the vehicle and equipment's cleanliness and organization.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during all phases of delivery.
• Treat Arnoff Customers with VIP treatment. Their move ratings turn into money for you.
