Job summary

Gypsum Supply Company - Byron Center is seeking a Delivery Helper to assist with loading materials, unload at jobsites, and help prepare trucks for next-day deliveries.

You will follow OSHA and DOT guidelines, perform pre-trip inspections, assist with route planning, and maintain safety on outdoor job sites in a frequent local travel role. Ideal candidates have 0-1 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, strong teamwork, and reliable communication.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and communicate information accurately.
• Safely load, unload, and handle building materials.
• Follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred: experience in building materials, construction, delivery, or warehouse.
• Preferred: experience on active construction jobsites.
• Familiarity with safe material handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Comply with guidelines related to OSHA and DOT for safety.
• Perform pre-trip inspections for order accuracy.
• Unload product and deliver materials to designated area.
• Secure materials on the truck.
• Assist with route navigation to jobsites.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Prepare trucks and equipment for next-day deliveries.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
