Capitol Building Supply, Inc. in Baltimore seeks a Delivery Helper to load, unload, and prepare trucks for daily operations. The role emphasizes safety, proper handling of materials, and timely site delivery.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure cargo, and navigate routes to customer sites, while complying with OSHA and DOT guidelines and contributing to a reliable delivery service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately.
• Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. in order to carry materials, such as drywall materials and joint compound.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while also collaborating with others to get the job done.
• Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
• Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with company, state and federal guidelines, particularly OSHA and DOT for safety of all personnel.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure order accuracy.
• Safely unload product and deliver to the assigned area as directed by the customer.
• Secures mud, equipment, metal, and pallet on truck.
• Navigates routes to the job site.
