Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a Delivery Helper to load and locate job sites, back in, and prepare sites for daily operations.

The role includes preparing the truck for the next day and maintaining equipment while ensuring safety and accuracy in handling materials at the job site. The position requires stamina to lift up to 75 lbs, the ability to read and communicate information effectively, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team under a safety-focused environment.

Position Summary

The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, backing, preparing and restoring the job site, and preparing the truck for the following day and maintaining the truck and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Compliance of company, state and federal guidelines particularly as it relates to OSHA and DOT for the safety of all personnel. Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure accuracy of order. Safely unload product and deliver to assigned area as directed by the customer. Secures mud, equipment, metal, and pallet on truck. Navigates routes to the job site.

Basic Qualifications

Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately. Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. in order to carry materials, such as drywall materials and joint compound.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain standing 90% of the time. Constantly, moving from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles onto job site. Constantly, positions self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom. Frequently moves materials weighing up to 100lbs while unloading and loading flatbed. Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and be able to exchange accurate. information in these situations. Constantly working in an outside environment while making deliveries.

Must be able to prioritize job sites and deadlines. Must be able to manage stress depending on customer’s deadline. Must be able to multitask. Must be able to receive information and directions. Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur. Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement.

Salary

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $0.00 to $25.00 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
