Job summary

Vesta Home is seeking a Delivery Helper to assist in delivering and setting up high-quality furniture at customers' homes. You’ll work with the delivery driver to load, unload, and install items with care, ensuring a polished presentation.

This is a meet-on-site, on-site position with opportunities to grow. Expect weekday/weekend availability, clocking in/out, and a professional, safety‑mocused approach to every job.

Responsibilities

• Assist Delivery Driver with loading/unloading furniture and décor onto the truck.
• Help transport items to customers' homes and ensure secure placement.
• Assist in on-site setup to match Vesta Home's presentation standards.
• Hang artwork, mirrors and wall décor as directed by the Delivery Driver.
• Maintain a clean, organized delivery truck and workspace.

As a Delivery Helper at Vesta Home, you’ll assist in delivering and setting up high‑quality furniture in our customers' homes. Vesta Home is recognized for its innovative, stylish home furnishings and commitment to customer satisfaction. In this role, you'll work alongside our delivery drivers to ensure that every item is handled with care and installed to perfection. This is a meet‑on‑site position. Team members are expected to report directly to their assigned job sites each day, where they will begin their shift with the delivery team.

Team members may choose to meet at our Hayward warehouse and ride together to the job site; however, travel time from the warehouse to the job site will not be considered paid time. Compensation will begin once the team member arrives at the assigned job site and starts their shift.

Support in Delivery & Setup:

• Assist the Delivery Driver with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of furniture and décor items onto the truck, ensuring all products are securely placed to prevent damage during transit.
• Help transport heavy furniture (over 75 lbs) from the truck to customers' homes and businesses, utilizing proper lifting techniques to ensure safety.
• Work closely with the Delivery Driver during the setup of furniture on‑site, helping to arrange items according to Vesta Home's standards for a polished, professional presentation.
• Assist in hanging artwork, mirrors, and wall décor as directed by the Delivery Driver, using proper tools to ensure secure installation.

Customer Service Excellence:

• Represent Vesta Home's brand with a professional and positive attitude during all customer interactions.
• Support the Delivery Driver in providing customers with updates on delivery windows and assist in addressing any basic questions or concerns they may have.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including keeping the delivery truck tidy to reflect Vesta Home’s high standards.

Adaptability & Flexibility:

• Follow instructions from the Delivery Driver, dispatcher, and other team members, adapting to changing tasks and priorities throughout the day.
• Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Delivery Driver or Delivery Manager to ensure successful operations.
• Show a willingness to learn new skills related to furniture handling, setup, and customer service, including the proper use of tools and safety protocols.

Key Requirements:

• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle furniture and décor items.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude and a willingness to assist others.
• Basic familiarity with tools such as drills, hammers, and levels is a plus, but on-the-job training will be provided.
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor during all interactions with customers and team members.
• Conversational English required
• Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to providing high‑quality service.
• Employees are required to clock in and out at the start and end of each shift, and when arriving/departing from job sites, in accordance with our timekeeping policies.
• Flexible availability, including the ability to work on weekends or evenings as needed to meet customer demand.
