Job summary

Michael Kinder & Sons is seeking a Facility Maintenance & Delivery Associate to support field teams and warehouse operations in Fort Wayne, IN. This role bridges yard, shop, and jobsite tasks, performing light construction, warranty work, deliveries, and equipment maintenance.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly organized, and able to work independently across environments. CDL preferred; valid driver's license required. Fort Wayne area opportunity with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Trade School or equivalent.
• 5 years of warehouse, yard, or inventory management experience, preferably in commercial construction.
• Licensing & Physical Requirements: Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• CDL license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Capable of bending, climbing, kneeling, stooping, standing, and walking.
• Able to work outdoors in varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Knowledge & Skills: General commercial construction knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience with inventory systems, scheduling tools, and basic computer software.
• Experience operating construction equipment.
• Experience driving trucks with trailers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and pickups to job sites and suppliers.
• Load and transport materials safely.
• Support urgent field requests.
• Complete small construction and warranty repair projects.
• Coordinate work with project teams.
• Maintain orderly warehouse, yard, and office spaces.
• Perform light facility maintenance.
• Clean, organize, and restock returned items.
• Perform small tool repairs and routine maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain Symons forms and accessories.
• Ensure tools and equipment are job-ready.
• Review material requisitions for accuracy.
• Assist with inventory tracking and audits.
• Ensure proper documentation and restocking.
• Follow PPE requirements and company safety policies.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
