Job summary

PGW Auto Glass is seeking a Delivery Driver and Warehouse employee to load, transport, and deliver automotive glass products on a designated route. You will ensure safe handling, timely deliveries, and outstanding customer service while maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely in compliance with regulations; weekend shifts may be required and a 401(k) plan is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; DOT may apply for some vehicles.
• Previous delivery experience, preferably with fragile loads.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in loading and delivering.
• Basic computer skills for route navigation and paperwork.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, and transport automotive glass safely.
• Deliver glass to customers on an assigned route with accuracy and timeliness.

• Pick, pack, and load customer orders accurately.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Unload deliveries and assist customers, ensuring undamaged arrival.

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain delivery records and proof of delivery documents.

Key Responsibilities And Duties

• Load, secure, and transport automotive glass and related materials safely.
• Deliver glass products to customers on an assigned route, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Operate company vehicles, including box trucks, in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Accurately pick, pack, and load customer orders.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Unload and assist customers with their deliveries, ensuring products arrive undamaged.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including invoices and proof of delivery documents.
• Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory checks and material organization, as needed.
• Follow proper handling and safety protocols to prevent product damage and ensure workplace safety.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatch, and customers to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications And Skills

• Previous delivery driving experience, preferably handling fragile materials.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to use warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Basic computer skills for route navigation and delivery documentation.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds regularly.

Work Environment And Physical Requirements
