Job summary

S.A. Comunale Co., Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver / Shop Associate to transport materials and equipment to construction sites and to maintain organization in the shop. The role includesLoad/unload duties, inventory control, and ensuring vehicle readiness in compliance with safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, forklift experience, the ability to lift 75 pounds, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Some overtime and off-hour shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Experience operating a forklift and loading/unloading materials.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) for inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials and equipment to construction job sites using company truck.
• Assist in unloading/loading and organizing shop inventory.
• Maintain truck and shop cleanliness and safety; secure loads and complete reports.
• Keep inventory records and assist with order fulfillment as needed.
• Maintain adherence to DOT regulations and company policies.

Job Title: Delivery Driver / Shop Associate

S.A. Comunale is seeking a Delivery Driver / Shop Associate.This posistion d rives a compnay truck to transport materials and equipment to specific construction job sites. This position is responsible for cleanliness and organization of the shop.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Verifies and secures loads.
• Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Drives truck to assigned destination(s).
• Assists workers in unloading and loading truck when required.
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, etc.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
• Fills work orders, or requests for materials, tools or other stock items.
• Maintains inventory records.
• Maintains cleanliness for shop/warehouse/storage yard/parking lot/offices as needed.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained, repaired when necessary, and inspected properly.
• Utilizes tow behind trailer to make deliveries and pick-ups.
• Delivers and picks up permit applications, permits, and approved drawings.
• Must be able to work OT and off hour shifts as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of related work experience is required.
• Previous purchasing/inventory experience is a plus.
• Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a current DOT Medical Card is required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.
• Previous experience operating a forklift is required.
• Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel) applications is required.
