Job summary

Paylocity in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a dedicated Delivery Driver to support daily operations. You will perform pre-trip inspections, deliver goods, and maintain accurate delivery records. You’ll assist in warehouse tasks and ensure items are loaded securely, with a strong emphasis on safety and timely service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and reliable communication with customers and supervisors. Flexibility for overtime may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months driving and warehouse operations experience.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; Class CDL a plus but not required.
• Ability to learn warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and read maps.
• Effective communication with customers/peers/supervisors.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy in work assignments.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Must pass random drug test.

Responsibilities

• Performs Daily Vehicle pre trip Inspection Reports for each equipment before it is driven.
• Pre Trip inspections on trailers for delivery.
• Drive safely at all times; hands-free phone use.
• Deliveries may include weekend/after-hours as dispatched.
• Report vehicle or trailer maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Keep daily delivery log with invoice number and time of delivery.
• Ensure orders are accurate by checking pick tickets; supervisor signs off before loading.
• Load pickup/trailer and secure items for delivery.
• Check out credit card references for vehicle use and return receipts.
• Maintain delivery bay; dispose of pallets and trash; keep aisles clear.
• Assist in fulfilling warehouse orders and keep area clean.
• Time management across deliveries and warehouse tasks; flexibility for overtime/on-call.
