Job summary

Genuine Parts (GPC) is seeking a delivery driver to establish and maintain strong relationships with NAPA customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional delivery service. The role involves delivering parts from the DC to stores, maintaining delivery logs, and ensuring safety and accuracy in part selection and delivery.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
• Able to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
• Be functionally literate and capable of recognizing part numbers and line codes to ensure proper selection and delivery of parts.
• Have a well groomed, neat appearance, complying with company policies on conduct and dress.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills in a professional manner.
• Enjoy working with people in a fast-paced setting, competitive yet able to stay calm under pressure.
• Be able to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission if required and work the hours assigned by management.
• Able to move engine blocks, core barrels, and other heavy equipment using moving aids.
• Able to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and reach upper shelves with stool or ladder.
• Able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Capable of recognizing letters and numbers and remembering their sequence.

Responsibilities

• Delivers parts from Distribution Center to stores on scheduled and as-needed basis.
• Maintains delivery log and tracking system.
• Ensures security of company assets, vehicles, and merchandise.
• Maintains customer satisfaction by timely delivery and friendly service.
• Maintains personal and vehicle appearance.
• Schedules and completes required training as needed.
