Hearst's The Pioneer in Big Rapids is seeking a part-time Delivery Driver to safely load and unload newspaper freight and deliver bundles to various locations. Operate company trucks and keep vehicles in good condition, ensuring on-time deliveries while maintaining professional appearance and accurate records.

The role requires a valid drivers license, ability to obtain a chauffeur license, and the ability to pass pre-employment background and drug tests as well as a pre-employment physical.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid drivers license.
• Chauffeurs license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug test.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and work early mornings.

• Safely operate all company trucks.

Deliver Driver, Part Time

The Pioneer has an immediate opening at its production facility in Big Rapids for a part-time Delivery Driver. This position is responsible for the safe loading and unloading of freight (newspapers) and delivering these bundles to various locations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate all company trucks
• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and fluid levels are correct before operating
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Abide by Michigan traffic laws
• Deliver freight to proper destinations on time
• Safety and efficiently load and unload cargo
• Properly prepare printed products for shipping
• Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company in a positive way

Requirements

• Maintain a valid driver’s license
• Chauffeurs license or the ability to obtain one
