Job summary

Fenix Parts in Montgomery, IL is seeking a Route Delivery Driver to safely transport OEM automotive parts to commercial customers. You will manage daily routes, load and unload parts, and collect payments while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires 1+ years of driving a 20-26ft box truck, a clean driving record, ability to lift 75 lbs, and basic computer skills. A valid driver's license and DOT medical card are required.

• 1+ years of driving a 20-26ft box truck
• Clean driving record with no more than 1 accident and 2 moving violations in 3 years
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and handle high-volume deliveries
• Basic computer skills and ability to identify automotive parts
• Valid driver’s license with no major restrictions

Responsibilities

• Route management: plan daily home-daily delivery routes based on customer needs
• Loading/unloading: safely load and unload parts, following safety protocols
• Vehicle maintenance: perform pre/post-trip checks on the box truck
• Customer interaction: deliver parts, present bills, collect payments, assist customers
• Documentation: complete and submit all required paperwork accurately at route end

Position Overview: Route Delivery Driver

As a key player on our team, you’ll engage in the safe and professional delivery of OEM automotive parts. Your role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction while fulfilling our commercial customers automotive parts needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Route Management: Handle home-daily delivery routes, planning daily schedules based on customer needs.
• Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload automotive parts, adhering to all safety protocols while preventing freight damage.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre and post-trip maintenance checks on your assigned box truck to ensure optimal safety and vehicle performance.
• Customer Interaction: Deliver parts accurately and collect payments, presenting bills and receipts professionally while assisting customers with any need that may arise.
• Documentation: Complete and submit all required paperwork neatly and accurately at the end of your route.

Requirements:

• Driving Experience: 1+ years in a professional driving role while operating a similar sized vehicle (20-26ft box truck)
• Safety: Must have a safe driving record with no more than 1 accident, and no more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years reflecting on your motor vehicle record.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift 75 lbs and manage high-volume, physical activity during deliveries as we offload automotive parts at each customer location.
• Skills: Basic computer skills and the ability to identify various automotive parts.
• Certifications: A valid drivers license with no major restrictions.

Required Documents To Be Submitted Upon Hire:

• Valid DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one.
• Safety performance history report.
