Job summary

R H Barringer Distributing Co in Linwood, NC is seeking a dedicated delivery associate to provide relief for our delivery personnel on designated routes. Responsibilities include stocking, merchandising, and reliable customer service to on-time deliveries.

You will collect cash, work in varying conditions, and maintain safety and quality on each stop. A valid license, background check, and ABC permit are required; weekend availability and ability to lift/move loads are expected.

Qualifications

• Regular, reliable attendance.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must obtain ABC Permit to sell alcohol (18+).
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Weekend and/or holiday availability.
• Can lift 20–45 lb repeatedly and move heavy loads.
• Experience in route delivery or retail management preferred.

About This Role

In this position, you will be responsible for providing vacation/injury relief for delivery personnel which deliver and/or stock our products to customer locations on designated routes.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
• Must be able to obtain an ABC Permit to sell alcohol, (18 years old and up)
• Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis.
• Past job performance must reflect dependability, initiative, professional demeanor, and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Availability to work some weekends and/or some holidays.
• Lifting and loading from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly over 10-12 hour work period.,
• Pushing and pulling over 800 pounds, bending, reaching and squatting while delivering and moving products.
• Must be capable of working in beverage cooler conditions. 35-45 degrees

Candidate Requirements

• Previous route delivery, direct store delivery, stocking, merchandising products or retail management experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must pass a background check.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
