Job summary

A delivery service company is looking for a Delivery Driver to join their team in Dearborn, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance, and providing excellent customer service to clients. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, loading/unloading, and managing vehicle inventory. Qualifications

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Driving and Navigation
  • Operating cars safely and efficiently.
  • Navigating using GPS, maps, or knowledge of the area.
  • Planning routes to optimize delivery times and minimize delays.
• Vehicle Maintenance
  • Performing routine vehicle checks (oil, tires, fluids).
  • Ensuring the vehicle is clean and presentable.
  • Scheduling and coordinating maintenance and repairs.
• Loading/Unloading
  • Safely loading cargo or passengers onto the vehicle.
  • Assisting with unloading at the destination.
• Customer Service
  • Providing excellent customer service to passengers or clients.
  • Communicating effectively with dispatchers, clients, or passengers.
• Paperwork and Documentation
  • Maintaining logs (mileage, fuel, maintenance).
  • Completing paperwork related to deliveries, expenses, or incidents.
• Safety and Compliance
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Practicing safe driving techniques.
  • Reporting any accidents or incidents promptly.
• Other Responsibilities
  • Assisting with tasks such as filing, faxing, or copying.
  • Managing vehicle inventory.
  • Handling customer grievances.
  • Participating in training programs.
