Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to patients and providing equipment setup and patient education.

You will follow routes, maintain equipment, and work on-call rotating evenings and weekends while upholding regulatory requirements and delivering compassionate service. This role requires physical stamina, a valid license, and good communication; training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of professional driving experience required.
• Home care/health care background is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and work in various spaces.

Responsibilities

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle and ensure safety during loading/unloading.
• Establish and maintain relations with patients and internal team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse; adhere to FDA protocols.
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours.

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to our patients, also providing equipment setup and educating patients on the proper use of equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert

• Must lift 50+ pounds by oneself
• Must lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance

• Utilize hands, legs, and eyes for operating vehicle

• Lift up to 15lbs above the shoulder while loading and unloading
