Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment and to educate patients on proper use of equipment.

Role involves following orientation checklists, maintaining routes, and working on-call evenings/weekends to assist patients as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of professional driving experience required.
• Home care/health care background is a plus.
• Non CDL drivers may be 18+; CDL drivers must be 21+.
• Valid driver's license for appropriate class required.
• Read and understand DOT and FDA paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle and loading/unloading safety.
• Establish and maintain relations with patients and team members.
• Maintain vehicle and warehouse cleanliness per FDA protocols.
• Work on-call rotation during evenings and weekends for emergencies.

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to our patients, also providing equipment setup and educating patients on the proper use of equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
