Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure safe, timely delivery of home medical equipment to patients and provide equipment setup and patient education. You will follow patient orientation checklists, maintain routes, and uphold DOT/FDA compliance while fostering positive patient relationships.

The position emphasizes safety, on-call rotations, and staying compliant with transport regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a professional driving role or equivalent
• Home care/health care background is a plus
• Good with people, excellent speaking and writing skills
• Must maintain a valid driver's license for appropriate class of vehicle
• Able to understand and follow DOT and FDA paperwork

Responsibilities

• Follow patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to routes and schedules
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle and ensure safety during loading/unloading
• Build outstanding relations with patients and internal teams
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and warehouse; follow FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evenings and weekends for emergencies

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to our patients, also providing equipment setup and educating patients on the proper use of equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert

• Must lift 50+ pounds by oneself
• Must lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance
• Maneuver often in restricted spaces
• Perform the following physical actions:
  • straight pulling
  • pulling hand over hand

  • use of fingers/fine manipulation
  • repeated bending
• Utilize hands, legs, and eyes for operating vehicle
• Use depth perception
• Lift up to 15lbs above the shoulder while loading and unloading
