Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Delivery Driver in Eureka, CA to ensure safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment. You will also provide equipment setup and educate patients on proper use of equipment.

Strong customer service and a valid driver's license are required, with on-call duties during evenings and weekends. The role involves lifting heavy items and complying with DOT/FDA regulations while maintaining vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of professional driving experience.
• Home care/health care background is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License; meets DOT/FMCSA requirements.
• Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must lift 50+ pounds and be able to load/unload safely.
• Must read and understand DOT and FDA paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Maintain a safe driving record.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle and cargo area.
• Establish and maintain positive relations with patients and staff.
• Keep vehicle/warehouse clean and compliant with FDA protocols.
• Participate in on-call rotation during evenings/weekends for emergencies.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert

• Must lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance

• Utilize hands, legs, and eyes for operating vehicle
