Job Summary

As the Delivery Manager, you're the leader of the driver squad, maintaining high energy, smooth service, and the distinct Ian's vibe. You will work with the GM and AGM to ensure the driver crew has the training, tools, and support needed to excel each shift, while also taking delivery driver shifts, handling orders, and assisting with restaurant tasks when off the road.

A key part of the role is training and developing the team on shift: leading delivery training, giving feedback, conducting quarterly reviews, and participating in manager meetings, responding to messages, tackling special projects, and working with leadership to keep the department running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the delivery driver squad.
• Ensure drivers are trained, equipped, and supported for each shift.
• Serve as a delivery driver when required, packing orders, loading vehicles, delivering, and handling phone/online orders.
• Assist with dishwashing, stocking, and other restaurant duties during non‑delivery times.
• Conduct quarterly reviews and provide coaching to staff.
• Participate in manager meetings, manage messages, and complete special projects.
• Coordinate with other managers on emergencies and coverage needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Delivery Driver in restaurants; lead, supervisor, or trainer experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and lift up to 30 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally); use ovens, knives, and other equipment.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle for varied shift times.
• Must pass driver eligibility check and food safety certification within 6 months.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to embody company values; bilingual Spanish is a major plus.

Scheduling and Hours

Approximately 35-40 hours per week: 30-35 hours in operations (driver shifts & team development) and 5-10 hours on administrative duties. Hours over 40 are paid overtime. Schedules are released 2-4 weeks in advance.

Shift schedule: Sunday–Wednesday 11 am–10 pm, Thursday 11 am–2 am, Friday–Saturday 11 am–2:30 am; includes opening, dinner, late night, and manager on duty shifts. Late nights (10 pm–4 am) required once per week.
