Job summary

Werner is hiring a Delivery Driver in Pewaukee, WI to load and drive a delivery vehicle on established routes and service customer sites. Starting wage is $20–$21 per hour with opportunities for annual merit increases and bonuses.

Work hours are 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with benefits starting the first of the month after the starting date. Werner offers a comprehensive benefits package and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication with customers and colleagues.
• Basic computer knowledge: databases, inventory, order processing, word processing.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to lift/move heavy items as part of loading and delivering.

Responsibilities

• Load and drive delivery vehicle on established route to deliver products or render services.
• Deliveries may include dedicated deliveries, standard routes, same day, pickups, returns, etc.
• Represent Werner professionally in all interactions.
• Follow Werner safety procedures while performing duties and operating equipment.
• Report customer instructions to the appropriate personnel and relay feedback from the field.
• Assist in warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, receiving, and general cleanup.

Delivery Driver - Pewaukee, WI

• Starting Wage: $20-$21/hr
• $1,000 Starting Bonus + $2,400 annual bonus potential
• Hours: 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Monday through Friday)

Minimum & Preferred Requirements

• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Basic computer knowledge required. Must be able to utilize database software, inventory software, order-processing systems, and word-processing software
• Valid Driver's License
• Must be able to regularly lift/move 50-75 pounds, and occasionally lift/move 75-100 pounds.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Take direction from local Warehouse Supervisors to support business needs
• Deliveries may include but not limited to – dedicated deliveries, standard routes, same day, pick-ups, returns, etc.
• Represent Werner in a professional manner.
• Execute job duties and operate equipment in accordance too all Werner's safety procedures
• Load and drive truck to deliver product to customer's job sites, homes or place of business.
• Relay customer's instructions to appropriate personnel.
• Provide feedback to supervisor from the field
• Assist in warehouse with duties including but not limited to picking, packing, receiving, cutting wire, put away, general clean up, cycle counting, returns etc.
• Other related duties as assigned
