Job summary

EDS DISPOSAL INC. in Pasco, WA is seeking a Delivery Driver II to perform route deliveries on a 8:00 am–4:00 pm schedule, subject to change with company needs. You will operate trucks, perform pre/post trip checks, fuel and wash vehicles, and ensure loads are secure while following safety procedures.

The position is outdoor, year-round, with breaks and a 40-hour work week. Candidates must hold a valid CDL, medical card, and a clean MVR; on‑the‑job training may expand to other vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL driver qualifications and a valid license.
• Current medical card required.

• On-the-job training to learn other trucks/equipment.

Job description:DELIVERY DRIVER IIWork Schedule 8:00 am-4:00pm Schedules are subject to change based on the operational needs of the companySubject to work holidaysRoute drivers guaranteed 40 hours a week, with the expectation that they assist the team when neededDrivers will take 30 minutes per shift for lunchRest at appropriate times; two 15-minute breaksTactical Work/Tasks: (Specific tasks the employee is expected to do)Continuously meet driver expectations and requirements, i.e. pre/post trip, fuel and wash truck, VIR, Radio usage, COVID procedures, secure load, honk horn when reversing,Operate trucks and equipment in accordance with company procedures and standards, i.e. fuel vehicle at the end of every day or plug in vehicle to CNG pump at the end of shift; turn off battery switch to the OFF positionComply with all safety standards and requirements, i.e. complete accident report day of accident,Report any safety or quality concerns to supervisorEnsure cart bullpen is full and ready for delivery dailyInspect yard and address any housekeeping needsSetup and repair carts and containersBreak down and stack carts that are irreparable, on a daily basis.Wash carts that are dirty and place in area with other clean cans, daily.Conduct quarterly yard inventory for cans, front load containers and roll off.Disposing of extras picked up at the landfill daily.Maintain all CDL driver qualifications and valid drivers licenseHave a current medical cardMaintain an acceptable MVR Motor vehicle RecordParticipate in on the job training to learn to operate other trucks and/or equipmentFollow oral and/or written instructionsObserve legal and defensive driving practicesWork independently and perform duties without close supervisionDuties as assigned, with the expectation to add reoccurring tasks to the Position AgreementWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:Typically performed in the field, which requires travel daily from site to siteThe position involves work outdoors on a year-round basis and is subject to extreme weather conditions.May be exposed to waste, including blood-borne pathogens, insects, animals and other exterior hazards.The noise level is moderate to loud.Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach with arms and hands at or above shoulders, kneel and stretch, and the ability to climb into or exit a truck and/or other equipment.Lift, push, carry and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis, and up to 90 lbs. as needed using proper lifting techniques.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to include repetitive grasping and reaching.Pay: USD From $20.43-$25.47 per hourCareer Level Required: Entry levelExperience Required: 1+ to 2 YearsEducation Required: High School or equivalentJob Type: EmployeeJob Type: Full-time
