Job summary

EECO is a full-line electrical distributor specializing in industrial automation and power solutions. The Delivery Driver role supports the Sales Team by delivering products safely and efficiently, while also assisting with warehouse duties as needed to meet customer expectations.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of warehousing or delivery experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to operate forklifts with proper certification. A DOT physical clearance is required.

Qualifications

• DOT medical exam/physical clearance required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years customer service/warehousing experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical industry and/or inventory management a plus.
• Ability to lift/move stock up to 50 lbs; occasionally 70 lbs.
• Ability to drive large trucks (10-ton stake truck and box truck).

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers on time with high service levels.
• Communicate and escalate delivery delays to customers and warehouse.
• Maintain customer VMI Storerooms with counting, putaway and cleanup.
• Process materials and load/unload from large vehicles.
• Operate forklift with proper training and certification.
• Support warehouse activities: cycle counts, picking, packing, putaway as needed.
• Ensure order accuracy from receipt to shipment.

Position Purpose:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of product delivery to support the Sales Team, internal team members and our customers. Primary responsibilities include the safe and efficient operation of our delivery vehicle while ensuring accurate and timely deliveries to our customers. This role will require the ability to switch tasks daily as flexibility between working warehouse duties or making deliveries will be determined by management to reflect and fill customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Delivering products to customers on time while providing an elevated level of customer service
• Communication and escalation of any delivery delays to customers and warehouse management
• Maintain customer VMI Storerooms, including counting, putaway and cleanup.
• Processing of materials; loading onto and off large motor vehicle
• Ability to operate forklift with proper training and certification and other material handling equipment
• Responsible for warehouse efficiencies and cleanliness of the work area
• Actively participates and supports other warehouse activities such as cycle counts, picking, packing, and putaway as required by management
• Ensures accuracy of orders from the receipt material through the shipment of product to end user

What We Are Looking For:

The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver will provide fast service, demonstrate strong customer service skills, and assist in the warehousing and all required transactional requirements. This position is responsible for all logistically related activities in support of product supply and delivery. This position is also responsible for maintaining customer storerooms; counting, stocking and communication through our VMI program. Through their familiarity with our customers’ organizations, product needs and overall warehousing activities, this position will assist in ensuring we meet customer expectations and needs through the accurate and timely processing of our product.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a DOT physical
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 2-3 years customer service/warehousing experience preferred
• Previous experience in the Electrical Industry and/or inventory management is a plus
• Ability to lift, move, stack and stock products up to 50lbs; occasionally performs same activities weighing up to 70lbs
• Ability to drive a 10-ton stake truck and box truck
