Job summary

Geodis is seeking drivers in Birmingham and surrounding areas to operate a high roof cargo van on local, Monday–Friday routes. This local role keeps you home each night with schedules starting around 10:30. Vehicle is a high roof cargo van and pay is up to $850.

Duties include unloading, loading, scanning, and following dispatch routes while providing excellent customer service. Applicants must own or lease a high roof cargo van, be 21+ with a valid license, and have auto-liability coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have prior delivery or courier experience.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver's license.
• Needs EIN and Dec Page showing auto liability coverage (100/300/50).
• Good driving record (MVR), able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Strong communication skills for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Unload and sort trucks; load and unload cargo and ensure proper handling.
• Scan all packages and follow provided delivery schedules and routes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and dispatch staff.

Hours: 10:30

Equipment Needed: Smart Phone and Hand Truck

Duties:

• Truck unload and sort
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure packages.
• Scanning all packages.
• Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by dispatch.
• Communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

• YOU MUST OWN or LEASE a High Roof Cargo Van
• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver, Courier, or similar role is preferred
• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license
• Need EIN, Dec Page with 100/300/50 auto liability coverage
• Must have a good MVR, pass a background check & drug screen
• Communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
