CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for a full-time Delivery Driver in Chesapeake/VA Beach. You’ll load furniture, deliver to customers’ homes or offices, and assemble items while ensuring a positive customer experience.

Pay ranges from $19 to $21 per hour depending on experience. Schedule is typically Monday–Friday, 7:45am–5pm, with some overtime possibilities. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and more.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency.
• A minimum of 6 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle; 1 year of experience preferred.
• Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
• Ability to comply with FMCSA regulations and read/speak English sufficiently to interact with customers and complete reports.
• Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, including a physical and drug screening.
• Ability to pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements.
• Acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards

Overview

CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for full-time non-CDL drivers in Chesapeake/VA Beach!

The Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Operations team. You will be responsible for loading furniture and delivering safely to customers’ homes or office spaces. You will also be assembling furniture for the customer and going above and beyond to ensure a positive customer experience.

Pay: $19-21 / hour depending on experience

Schedule: Standard is Monday-Friday 7:45am-5pm; some flexibility or overtime may be required

  • Per FMSCA Regulations: Drivers must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
• Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, which includes passing a physical and drug screening
• Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
• Acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards
