Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven delivery driver experience or similar transportation role.
• Knowledge of vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency with GPS and navigation systems.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Attention to detail with accurate record-keeping and documentation abilities.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing delivery schedules.
• Familiarity with local Bethalto area roads and neighborhoods (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Plan and execute optimal delivery routes to maximize efficiency.
• Load, unload, and transport packages to customer locations.
• Obtain customer signatures and handle payment transactions as required.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery documentation and mileage logs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• Communicate professionally with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving delivery issues promptly.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents to management immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle at all times.
• Meet daily and weekly delivery targets while maintaining quality service standards.
