Job summary

Paisan Pizza dba Donatos of Lima Marysville Piqua and Plain City is hiring a weekday daytime Delivery Driver to join our team. The role includes delivering food orders, taking phone orders, assisting with in-store tasks, and keeping areas clean and organized.

The ideal candidate has a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; driving and insurance requirements apply. This position offers daytime hours Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.
• Previous driver or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Check out and deliver orders.
• Safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Perform other in-store functions such as folding boxes or cross-functional duties when not driving.
• Ensure the shift is ready for revenue by completing food prep, stocking, and pre-topping pizzas.
• Set up the next shift by completing food prep, stocking prep-tables, and freezer pulls.
• Clean and mop lobby, restrooms, and kitchen as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers in person or over the phone.
• Take customer orders over the phone.
• Handle cash and give correct change; complete cash-out after the shift with Manager.
• Follow all food safety guidelines and cleanliness.
• Follow detailed recipes for subs, pizzas, and salads.
• Opportunities for full and part-time daytime positions.

Job description

We are hiring immediately for a weekday daytime driver. this position is Monday-Friday 10 AM - 4 PM.

Delivery Drivers play an essential role in ensuring our customers receive their order in a timely and friendly manner. Delivery Drivers may spend their shifts folding boxes, taking phone orders, assisting with cleaning tasks, and of course, delivering food orders to our customers. The most successful Delivery Drivers perform their role safely, efficiently, and accurately, making sure all orders are correct before leaving the restaurant.

Requirements:

• Delivery Drivers must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and valid automobile insurance. Must maintain a driving record that meets company minimum requirements to remain in position.
• Previous Driver and/or customer service experience helpful but not required
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position safely while meeting productivity standards
• Able to lift up to up to 20 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Occasional bending and twisting

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicates with customers, co-workers, and managers in person or over the telephone.
• Takes customer orders over the phone.
• Accurately handles cash; gives customer correct change, completes cash check out directly after the shift with Manager.
• Follows all food safety guidelines, including handwashing, illness reporting and cleanliness.
• Follows detailed food recipes while completing subs, pizzas, and salads for customers.
