Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company is seeking a Delivery Driver DOT to join our Texas operations. This role focuses on delivering product, invoicing customers, rotating back stock, building displays, and completing daily reports.

You will supervise a helper when needed, perform route checks, and ensure safe unloading at customer sites while maintaining accurate paperwork and strong communication with retail customers.

Responsibilities

• Build healthy business relationships and establish good communication with our retail customers
• Assist with delivery of Ben E. Keith Beverage products to customers
• Fill in for any driver (vacation, open position, etc.) as needed
• Safely unload order at customer location with the aid of a hand truck (dolly), manual or electric jack
• Organize and refill back stock, coolers, beer shelves and displays
• Count, fill, and condense back stock and retailer shelf inventory
• Count and verify order completeness with customer; obtain customer signature and payment
• Maintain designated back stock area at customer location; ensure area is organized and free of trash
• Verify product order with customer to ensure accuracy
• Collect payment and signature from customer upon delivery
• Check in product and pallets upon return to the warehouse, making sure the load sheet is properly completed
• Refuel truck at the end of the day
• Communicate with sales staff any observed opportunities or challenges
• Perform job duties in a variety of settings (grocery, convenience, bar, etc.) and under challenging weather conditions (such as rain or snow)

The primary duty of the Delivery Driver DOT is to deliver product, invoice the customer, rotate back stock, build displays, fill windows and work up the daily damaged reports. This is a delivery driver position and the employee is responsible for route checks every afternoon and truck inspections every morning and afternoon. This position may also supervise a helper.
