Job summary

United Central Industrial Supply, a SunSource company, is seeking a Driver/Delivery Person to pick up and deliver merchandise and to represent the company in a professional manner.

You will operate company vehicles, load and unload items, obtain signatures, follow delivery schedules, and maintain vehicle appearance while ensuring safety and courteous customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely.
• Load and unload merchandise on vehicles.
• Obtain signatures and/or payments upon delivery of merchandise.
• Follow assigned scheduling of deliveries; make deliveries on time as scheduled.
• Follow proper procedures in reporting accidents in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain vehicles appearance, reporting any needed maintenance; observe traffic laws and regulations.
• Maintain neat personal appearance; always remain courteous and service minded in dealing with customers.
• Keep supervisor informed of shortages, overages or damaged merchandise and unresolved customer complaints.

Purpose

The purpose of this job is to pick-up and/or deliver merchandise as required and serve as a company representative, promoting the reputation of United Central Industrial Supply Company in a positive manner.
