Job summary

Summit Beverage is hiring a delivery driver with a Class A or B CDL to unload and deliver merchandise to large volume stores. You will stock shelves, rotate products, and set up displays while maintaining accurate records and communicating with supervisors.

Shifts run Tue–Fri, 5:00am–3:30pm, often 10–12 hour days depending on route. Pay ranges from $22 to $24 per hour based on experience, with DOT medical card required.

WAGE

: $22 - 24.00/Hour Depending on Experience.

SCHEDULE:

Tuesday – Friday, 5:00am - 3:30pm (ending time varies depending on when route is complete - usually 10-12 hour shifts)

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for delivery and unloading of product merchandise within large volume stores. Duties include driving a Class A CDL truck to deliver to a variety of accounts which will be your responsibility to oversee. While at the account, duties include stocking shelves, rotating product, setting up displays, cooler stocking, product rotation, storage room organization, and the efficient movement of product from storage to the sales floor.

Essential Functions:

• Receive daily work request at start of each workday and have schedules signed off by account management (Store Representative).
• Review instructions as provided by Supervisor or Sales Representatives.
• Communicate with appropriate Sales Representatives daily.
• Serve all accounts as scheduled by Supervisor.
• Pull outdated, damaged, and unsellable products – place in back stock and notify Sales Representative.
• Stock, rotate, and face product in coolers, on shelves, racks, and in displays.
• Work all back stock (re-stock neatly and securely) as required by Supervisor and Sales Representative.
• Set up and rotate sales promotion displays (including signage) according to store and Company standards.
• Assist in resolving customer inquiries and service complaints.
• Notify Supervisor of any problems or opportunities with assigned accounts.
• Follow monthly PFP objectives.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Director of Delivery Operations.

• Maintain a valid Montana driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Maintain DOT medical card.
• Does not abuse equipment and maintain company property such as Company vehicles.

• Maintain appropriate dress and appearance per Company standards.
• Display effective interpersonal communication (supplier, employee, customer).
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all areas of responsibility to ensure quality of work.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Class A or B CDL and DOT medical card required.
• Previous grocery, retail, or beverage experience a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, other governmental agencies, and the public as appropriate.
• Ability to manage own route and delegate effectively.
• Ability to regularly lift/carry/move 50-60 lbs. (maximum of 160 lbs.).
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time (including bending, reaching, lifting, pulling, etc.).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and independently.
• Ability to handle wide range of tasks.
• Understand and effectively communicate Summit Beverage's organizational mission and goals.

Physical and Other Requirements:

This position requires a minimum of four (4) ten (10) hour days Tuesday - Friday. The shifts, end times, and total hours worked may vary depending on the season and quantity of deliveries, sometimes exceeding 10 hours.

Seeing: 75-100% - must be able to read reports and use handheld computer/tablet. Must be able to read and interpret documentation.

Hearing 75-100%: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with employees and business contacts and be aware of environment when driving.

Standing/Walking: 75 - 100%

Sitting: 0-14%

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 50-74%

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling 75-100%: 50-50lbs up to 160lb. kegs

Grasping/Feeling/Hand Dexterity: 75 - 100%

Driving and Travel: 0-24%: Daily driving to accounts, minimal to no overnight travel.
