Job summary

Carter Lumber in Delta, Ohio, is seeking a CDL Delivery Specialist to transport orders safely to local jobsites. You will provide excellent customer service and ensure timely deliveries using our company-owned fleet.

The ideal candidate should have experience with building materials and a valid CDL license. Benefits include health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for growth within the company. Military applicants are encouraged to apply!

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials.
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift.
• Acceptable driving record with a current CDL license.
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to local customer jobsites safely and on time.
• Ensure daily delivery schedules are met.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Unload deliveries using dump bed or truck-mounted forklift.

Description

As one of our CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well‑maintained and company‑owned fleet. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. While on site, you will unload using dump bed or truck‑mounted forklift to place the customer’s materials right where they need them.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
• Experience operating a truck‑mounted forklift
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
