Job summary

Appone in Connecticut is seeking a Home Delivery Driver (Litchfield County) with CDL B and HazMat endorsements preferred. You will load, transport, and deliver gasoline, oil, and propane products, following DOT and company safety rules, and maintain required documentation.

Position is full-time with hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health and life insurance, PTO, and other coverage. Training and safety compliance are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• CDL B driving experience preferred and HazMat endorsement recommended.
• DOT medical card required or must be obtained.
• Pre-employment functional evaluation and drug screening completed.
• Ability to load/secure/deliver products with attention to safety and compliance.
• Cash handling from customers when required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Dispatcher-provided route and schedule daily.
• Load, unload, inspect, and operate delivery vehicle per company standards.
• Maintain safety and compliance records at all times.
• Provide quality customer satisfaction to customers and business contacts.
• Inform customers of new products and services.
• Complete logs/reports per policies and procedures.
• Participate in job-related training and safety meetings.
• Report to work as scheduled, with minimal absenteeism and tardiness; may include overtime and on-call.

Position: Home Delivery Driver (Litchfield County)

Status: Full-Time, Hourly Non-Exempt

Yearly Salary: $56K - $80K

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - include and are not limited to:

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads gasoline, oil, and propane products to and from specified destinations
• Be capable of repeatedly climbing in and out of the cab, and dragging a petroleum filled hose several feet
• Follow all DOT and HazMat regulations, Mirabito safety standards and policies 100% of the time
• Complete daily and monthly paperwork requirements in order to ensure compliance with company standards and protection of its assets 100% of the time
• Constantly work in outdoor weather conditions with exposure to oil and/or propane fumes and the elements
• Ensure that Company and Government safety, policy, and regulatory standards are met and maintain zero preventable incidents 100% of the time

• Be capable of maneuvering equipment and materials in excess of 300 pounds with the use of proper mechanical devices and/or additional manpower
• Possess the ability to operate various instruments such as multi meters and combustion analyzers
• Collect monetary payments from customers, when necessary

RESPONSIBILITIES - include and are not limited to:

• Follow route and time schedule that is provided by the Dispatcher on a daily basis
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicle in accordance with company standards
• Maintain safety and compliance records 100% of the time
• Provide quality customer satisfaction to all customers and business contacts
• Inform customers of new products and services
• Complete logs and reports according to company standards, policies, and procedures
• Participate in any job related training and/or certifications and safety meetings
• Report to work as scheduled, with minimal absenteeism and tardiness, work overtime as necessary, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Perform other job-related activities and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS - include and are not limited to:

• CTEP qualifications - if not currently certified will need to obtain within 1 year of employment and maintain these certifications
• Prior driving experience preferred (Bobtail experience a plus)
• Prior experience with HazMat material preferred
• Maintain a valid DOT physical card
• Successful completion of a pre-employment functional evaluation and drug screening
