Job summary

Upper Lakes Foods is seeking a Full-Time Delivery Driver CDL-A based in Janesville, WI. You will drive a tractor trailer to deliver a diverse product range, while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities include safe operation per DOT regulations, unloading with a two-wheeled cart, and accurate pre-trip inspections and invoicing. The position offers a strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance and more.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to unload using a two-wheeled hand cart up to 50 lb per item and up to 500 lb combined.
• Excellent communication with customers and dispatch.
• Comfort working third shift and in various weather conditions.

Your day to day as a Delivery Driver CDL-A

As a Full-Time Delivery Driver CDL-A at Upper Lakes Foods you’ll take the wheel of a tractor trailer, navigating the roads while ensuring timely deliveries of our diverse product range, including meat, produce, frozen goods, and more. Your role will involve manually unloading these products using a two-wheeler on metal truck ramps, where your customer service skills will shine as you create a positive experience at each site. To excel as a Full-Time Delivery Driver CDL-A with Upper Lakes Foods, you’ll need a mix of technical skills and a customer-focused mindset. Operating a tractor trailer safely is essential, so a valid Class A CDL is required. You'll be unloading various products using a two-wheeled hand cart, so physical strength and stamina are crucial; lifting and moving items in a variety of sizes, with boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Moving product with the two-wheeled cart may have a combined weight up to 500 pounds. Familiarity with software for pre-trip inspections and invoice verification, along with the ability to maintain delivery schedules, is equally important. You should be comfortable working in diverse weather conditions, the ability to work third-shift hours, and have strong communication skills to interact with customers. Daily dispatch and returnto the distribution center located in Janesville, WI.
