Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Delivery Driver to meet customer needs with on-time, friendly service. You will drive a Graybar truck, load/unload, and maintain logs on a local route, with no overnights.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 4:30am–1:30pm; compensation $26.52/hour. CDL Class B and DOT medical exam are required. Steel-toed boots and PPE provided, with employee ownership and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience driving a truck or trailer over 33,000 GVW.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the vehicle type.
• Must pass DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification.
• Must pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Able to operate warehouse equipment safely with PPE.
• CDL Class B is required.

Job Posting Description

As a Delivery Driver, you will have face-to-face contact with customers as you deliver orders. You will safely drive a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse to each destination, providing on-time delivery and good customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and passing along customer feedback, and even promoting services and products! One advantage of this role is that it is typically Monday-Friday during the day and you will be home each night. In This Role You Will

• Help determine best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations
• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service
• Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Inspect vehicle and supplies
• Safely operate vehicle at all times
• Maintain proper truck logs
• Work a local route - no overnights or weekends away
• Never text and drive

What You Bring To The Table

• Customer service skills
• Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to work in a warehouse environment; must pass pre-employment physical testing
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and proper use of PPE
• 1+ years experience required driving a truck or trailer over 33,000 Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) or trucks equipped with a boom or forklift with self-unloading capabilities
• Must have a valid driver's license issued by his/her state of residence appropriate for type of vehicle
• Must be able to pass DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification
