Mountaineer Logistics is hiring full-time Delivery Driver roles in Hickory, NC. Start pay is $18.00 per hour after training, with weekly pay and a $1,000 peak season sign-on bonus.

A fast-paced team environment and safety-focused operation are emphasized, with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package after 90 days. Responsibilities include safe delivery of packages, on-time pickups, customer engagement, and efficient route management.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old.
• CDL not required.
• DOT physical required or current.
• Pre-employment drug screen.
• Background check.
• MVR check with no or limited violations in 3 years.
• No felony convictions.
• MVR: 1 or fewer violations in last 3 years.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Cellphone with data.
• Basic math and map reading skills.
• Ability to meet driver qualifications.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb and move up to 150 lb.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Follow through and deliver all packages safely.
• Complete all pickups assigned to route within the scheduled time frame.
• Deliver and scan every package according to proper procedure.
• Meet and greet customers in a positive manner.
• Safely operate box trucks and step vans (No CDL required).
• Communicate with management on time-critical issues.
• Maintain a positive FedEx image while delivering and managing area priorities.
