Job summary

Jobtailor in Washington State is seeking a dependable delivery driver to pick up and drop off automotive parts, follow assigned routes and schedules, and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.

You will review orders, assist with loading, maintain a safe driving record, handle payments as needed, and provide courteous, professional customer service while working as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid driver’s license required.
  • Must meet company insurance requirements – drivers 21+.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs for certain roles).
  • Ability to use a tablet/mobile device for navigation and signatures.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Team player with flexible overtime schedule.

  • Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses promptly and courteously.
  • Review orders before and after delivery for accuracy and charges.
  • Follow dispatcher directions and use navigation apps to optimize routes.
  • Assist with loading/unloading and store/warehouse duties as needed.
  • Provide excellent service, address questions, and handle complaints professionally.
  • Maintain safe driving record and comply with transportation laws.
  • Accept payments, prepare related reports and reconcile debts/credits.
  • Complete vehicle maintenance checks and notify management of issues.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Pick up and drop off automotive parts while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.
  • Ensure orders are properly fulfilled, passionate about satisfying customers, and committed to work safety.
  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
  • Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to assigned routes, follow time schedules, use route navigation apps and alternative routes when necessary, and maintain knowledge of area to deliver packages on time.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with operations at customer’s place of business.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints and concerns professionally.
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Accept payments, prepare reports (including invoices, return forms, and reconciliation of debt and credit) related to deliveries.
  • Complete daily maintenance checks on company delivery vehicle when applicable and notify manager of any issues.
  • Assist in any and all other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety while securing and transferring cash or other assets.
Requirements
  • Current, valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet company insurance requirements – drivers must be 21 years old or over.
  • Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy.
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds; prolonged sitting (Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must lift 75 lbs).
  • Ability to manage, track, and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances.
  • Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking, and customer interface/signature capture.
  • Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, professionally, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work overtime as needed (preferred).
  • Previous delivery driving experience is a plus.
