The Delivery Driver drives a truck/van over established route to transport and deliver products and collect signed invoices.

Key Responsibilities
- Drives truck/van to deliver items to customer's place of business.
- Writes customer order and instructions.
- Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record.
- Obtains and submits all receipts including, but not limited to gas receipts.
- Informs regular customers of new products or services.
- Listens to and resolves service complaints.
- Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Loads truck/van.
- Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
- Maintains the inside of the truck/van clean and organized.
- Follows the Company’s driving protocols and best practices.
- Performs a daily truck/van inspection.
- In certain markets and wherever applicable, the driver is required to stay overnight(s).
- Provides high-quality customer service to internal and external customers, vendors, and others.
- Adheres to company Policy and Procedures.
- Acts as a role model within and outside the company.
- Performs duties as workload necessitates.
- Maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
- Communicates regularly with supervisor and about department issues.
- Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize.
- Reports to work on time, prepared to perform duties.
- Meets department productivity standards.
- Performs other duties as required.
Scope of Responsibility
This job involves periodic access to confidential data and requires following standard practices and procedures with limited supervision, including safe driving practices.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Language Ability: Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Effectively present information to customers and employees. Read and understand English.
- Math Ability: Calculate figures such as discounts, proportions, and percentages. Apply basic algebra concepts.
- Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: Able to use a computer/tablet.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 years related experience/training, or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Pass DOT Physical (CLD Holders).
- Satisfactory driving record required.
Physical Demands
Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds. Regularly stand, frequently walk, sit, handle, reach, talk, or hear. Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Work Environment
Work performed in a shipping environment with frequent disruptions. Noise level usually moderate to loud.
Travel Required
Up to 95% travel; overnight stays required in some markets.
