US Foods, Inc. is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to join the Horseheads, NY team. You will safely drive routes, unload 100% touch freight, verify deliveries with customers, and provide professional service while maintaining accurate signatures and documentation.

Work involves multi-temperature environments, early dispatch between 12am-3am, and a safety-first culture. Eligible drivers receive benefits from Day One, overtime opportunities, and retention bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience (any industry) or 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.

Responsabilités

• Safe driving: Deliver products to customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading: 100% touch freight using available equipment.
• Delivery verification: Confirm deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Customer service: Provide professional service to enhance the customer experience.
• Equipment inspection: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Account management: Handle collections/payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: Perform other duties as assigned by management.

The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesSafe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.Physical RequirementsLift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects.
